Isla San Francisco

Today I made a short move up to Isla San Francisco and anchored in a lovely cove with a wrap around sandy beach.  View out the front window is stunning.

The water is amazingly clear and it is a nice, fairly well  protected, anchorage.

After getting anchored and having lunch I went for a bit of a paddle board to look at this side of the island.   There are 3 other smaller coves with interesting rock formations on the shore and the bottom near shore. It reminded me a lot of the Havasu area where the sheer rocks drop right into the clear water.  I saw several cool fish. Two different colored puffer fish, file fish, and maybe a barracuda.

Tommorrow morning I'm planning to take my dinghy up past Isla Coyote to Isla San Jose where there is a lagoon on the southern end of the island at Bahia Amortajada. It is about 4-5 miles each way so I'll take some extra fuel and run over there in the morning and see what it looks like.

I will probably move on Sunday over to San Evaristo for a couple days.  I've got about 4 days of travel and 13 days to complete it so I"m in no rush at this point.
